Student experiences at Northeastern University

I enjoy being part of Northeastern University’s various student clubs, as they help me to expand my personal network and enhance my leadership skills. With these experiences, I have completed my first work placement as an accounting assistant in Boston, and I am looking forward to my next post as a tax intern in Washington, DC.

I can see why Northeastern University professors are so highly regarded. They come to class with thoughtful lesson plans and use examples from real life to explain ideas. They might introduce a theory to you in class and then assign an interactive project to help you better understand the concepts. They are one reason why I love Northeastern.

The main reason why I chose Northeastern University was it’s Co-operative (Co-op) work program. My first Co-op was at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, one of the USA’s best academic medical centers.

My 2nd Co-op was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Working for PwC had always sounded like a dream, and I was able to experience it while I was a student! I have since accepted a pre-offer of employment from the company, so I am excited to join PwC after I graduate.

Before arriving at Northeastern University I was honestly not familiar with Boston, but I learned that it is one of the cities where American history began. When you choose Northeastern you also essentially chose Boston. It is an amazing city, to me the heart of America, and I love it.
